In 2020, our team started building a cryptocurrency trading platform. We became frustrated with the existing data tools, which often provided raw data that we had to rework ourselves, or were just flat-out wrong.

We realized why: there weren’t any API providers willing to put in the grueling effort to enrich token data across all the most popular networks. So we started building the Codex API.

It turned out that many other developers and businesses were looking for the same thing: a dependable source of truth for enriched blockchain data. The API we created to power our trading platform became a service of its own.

Since then, we’ve been obsessively building Codex into the fastest and most production-ready blockchain API in the industry. We believe the fiat economy will eventually integrate with the crypto economy, and large institutions like governments, banks, and public companies will increasingly need access to comprehensive blockchain data.
